China Round 2

Friday, May 26, 2006

Today I tried to make a recording of the bus stop and the chaos from yesterday. I was unfortunately unable to capture it in one sample. I will try to use an sound editor to replicate the effect.

The Experimental Chinese Food Of The Day is:
Lay's Max Ridged Cut Potato Chips - "Crispy Drumstick Flavour"

Ok, I am picking on Lay's again. I didn't want to do anymore Lay's but I was trying a multi-pack and this one just needed a write up.

Ok, a ridge cut potato chip is normally good for dipping. Well, that is fine and dandy when it is plain. However, this is Crispy Drumstick Flavor. Alright the picture on the front looks like two pieces of KFC drum sticks on it. Hmmm.. what does it tastes like?

Well, that is the problem. I really had to go through an entire 100 gram bag. I can taste the potato. The ridges are nice and crunchy and have some strength. There is a powder spice on the chips. But I can't taste any chicken flavour nor can I taste any "11 herbs and spices". Matter of fact, I can't taste anything else except the salt.

So if you are stuck in China and you want to have some potato chips to dip your sour cream or what ever into (that is assuming you can find sour cream). You can use this stuff. Just ignore the Drum Stick Flavour, because I really couldn't taste it.
